it's been ages since my last post. i was pretty busy with random nothingness that i was getting lazy formatting my lerpterp(laftap) and scanning and editing in putu'sup and uploading and writing something about it.
so.. uhm, after 10 long years(it feels that way), here it is. did this last week. i was just planning to draw faces cos i have this long strip of watercolor paper and figured i'd do a practice of faces, random faces. but, after thinking for a very long time(2mins), i decided that i'll just drew faces that inspired me, and kinda reminds me of a good memory. or my idols. so this is my first in really getting out of the stupid box. mixed media(well not really). i'll name them all.
i didn't aim for the likeness. more on the style. n_n
so here they are:

* Lisa Hannigan - i just love her and her voice. she's the inspiration to some of the songs i wrote. stupid songs.
* Damien Rice - yeah, well. i like his songs and the way he wrote it. of how he can say love without actually saying the love word. pretty confusing.
* Sam Beam - of Iron and Wine. pure poetry. well written lyrics. country rockin'. aspiring to be like him. and the beard, man! PANERKS!
* John Lennon - the face of freedom. the simplicity of his lyrics and his philosophies are like mmm!! he's good. the greatest Beatle, if you ask me. and a very significant person to me. learned a lot from him.
* Isa Garcia - she wrote the 1st book i illustrated. it was a great experience. and she's a great writer! i like the way she wrote the book and the rhymes.
* Alex Ross - the guy who made me want to do realism. or something close to that. a great illustrator, painter, story-teller. he's the most artistic guy in the world of graphic novels today. and McKean. but i would still go for this bald guy.
* Homer Cabansag - a guitar major student in USTe. he's really good. the way he plays classical guitar, well, amazing. a good friend. he can be really funny and be a serious friend of you need one. at the same time! haha! yosi, homer! hehehe ( i made him blue just for the heck of it. hehehe )
* Lara de Jesus - the closest girl friend i have. i can be really honest with her and be really gross and she would still be there and listen. right, lara? ayoko na mag jogging. hehe! and i like her sister. hahaha!
* Carmina Topacio - just saw her on youTube. she sings well and she's beautiful. my friend likes her, and i'm a sucker for good singers. inspired me to write more idiotic songs
* Iqui - a guitar major student in USTe. seriously, when i first heard her play, it was like seeing the next Kaori Muraji! yes, she is that good.
i'm planning to make a part 2 of this. Dave Matthews is not here, or Tony D and other artists whom i really paid close attention to their craft to make my art and my music what it is today. and other significant peeps too. so set 1 is finished, someday, i'll start set 2. n_n
so as our friend Neil used to say, "cheer up!" or something.. it sounds like it. owell.
